WORLD ENCYCLOPEDIA

Science and Technology

Travel by Power

  • Because their world is drained of modern day technology, the members of the dream world do not use vehicles such as cars, trucks, and the like. They  usually make their ways around their village by foot travel, horse, and the like.

Beep Boop, but Also Not?

  • Due to the setting being focused on a more mythical, old-time timeline, the members of the mananambal village have no access to modern technology like cellphones and the internet. However, in reality, Andres and his human companions have access to using the internet, although they do not use it due to their status of poverty.

The Clash of Weaponry

  • The usage of potions and spells are what the majority of the fantastical characters use, but they occasionally use spears and swords as well. Witchcraft and potions are mostly previously kept in bottles before the potions are drank by others.

Powerful Organizations

Spellbound with Magic

  • A love potion was shown to Andres by the Diwata. Whoever is in possession of the potion has the power to make their recipient fall in love with them by making them drink it or adding it to their food or drink. A healing spell was also mentioned. If you have been injured or are very sick, you may drink a healing potion which will relieve the symptoms that you've been feeling or cure whatever illness you may have or have contracted.

Society's Building Blocks

  • In the story and in other mythologies, those of the same species usually stick by each other however, they can still be friends with other mythological creatures. Diwatas usually hang out with other diwatas while duendes usually hang out with other duendes. The diwatas' organization mainly focuses on keeping them together to bring peace and unity within other creatures, using magic and witchcraft to provide for themselves. They provide food, water, and shelter by using magic to nourish and feed other mythical creatures and they also provide food and water for animals and human beings by helping plants grow and by protecting natural resources.

Deities and Religions

Mga Enkantada

  • Given that the village is home to witchcraft, magic, fairies, and mythical creatures, all of the warriors of the land consist of these magical creatures.

The Power of their Prayers

  • Roman Catholic has been a known religion in the Philippines ever since the Spaniards have colonized us. It has helped the Filipinos establish a strong faith and relationship with God throughout the years.

Ethnicites and Cultures

The Protective Walls

  • Home for the mananambals are often small cottages that are big on the inside. But when described deeply, it is clearly seen how their buildings looks exactly like the structures from several fairy tales that you often read and hear about on storybooks and movies. However, like what are mentioned above, the insides of these buildings are often bigger in comparison to what they look like on the outside. Sometimes, people complain about how they get lost inside the houses because of the large amount of rooms. They often describe it as a maze and a wonderland within a home.

  • The markets are usually made of stalls that sell various potions provided by the mananambals. Weaponry is also sold, and by the hands of dwendes are more objects such as fantastical boots, clothes, and heroic items.

Their Sacred Sheets

  • In the modern, real world the documents that exist are Academia documents that related to research, education, or scholarship, Business documents related to business, Documents that contain a work or piece of literature/music, Government or Legal documents, Personal documents that usually handwritten containing personal thoughts. In the mythical island of Siquijor, documents that contain witchcrafts and spells are prominent.

Island Orders

  • The Natural law in this world is almost the same as the natural law in the modern day world but it is different when crossing the boundary of real and fantasy. The natural law in the island of siquijor has a bunch of odd and magical phenomenons that are just part of its natural law.

Taglish Tongue

  • Given that Andres is a boy coming from the modern era of Philippine culture, the influence that he brought to his dream world contains the 50-50 tongue of any Filipino kid. The arrival of the Americans in their history led to the understanding of the universal language. And previous to that, the combination of different Spanish influences came to help form the Filipino language. Current education systems use these languages when increasing the knowledge of students, and this thus leads to Andres’s comprehension and usage of both. This is then brought to Tambal Village when he created it in his dreams.

Labels by Tie

  • In Siquijor, there are lots of different professions like blacksmiths who make weapons of the warriors, alchemists who experiments with different liquids in secret, faith healers who the characters in the story go to when in need if help when they get injured or when they feel sick, and weavers who create specialized and unique clothes.

Elemental Compositions

  • Majority of the materials used are materials used to create weapons by the blacksmiths like metal, wood, and even ceramic material. Different types of potions and herbs are used by the alchemists and healers. Leather, and sheep wool or other types of animal skin/fur are used by the weavers in creating their pieces.
